Dragon Diction is a great new app, you can use it to email or text, but you use your voice, rather then your hands, similar to Dragon speak that works with computers.

  1. Very interesting idea, Kathleen. The new iPhone 4 has a feature like this, however with more detail. You can ask it questions, for example, what is the weather like in Lebanon, NH. It’s pretty neat. I’m waiting for them to update the sync phone feature in my car so I can speak a text and it will send through my car. Right now I can only make phone calls. I take it that this is a paid app. How much is it? I’m surprised Apple didn’t create an application like this for their older phone version. Great concept!

  2. That is so cool! I’ve never heard of this app before, but I can’t tell you how many times I wish I could just speak my text instead of having to type it all out. But I wonder if while using Dragon Dictation words and messages get messed up at times because it may misinterpretate what you are trying to say.

For business, can this app just be used as a time saver feature? Or are there other uses for it when associating it for businesses?

  3. With Social Media increasingly being on the go, anything that can relieve the need to touch a tiny keyboard is welcomed! Dragon has a long tradition of excellence in voice recognition. Dragon’s app is a welcome addition to Smart Phones.

  4. I’m always so intrigued by this product. It seems like a great tool for busy business people. I’d like to see how students use the product. I don’t know how helpful it would be to me. I like to physically type my thoughts and edit accordingly. But I’m sure it would be great for some others.
